How to care of your TALLY MARKS bag and make sure it ages beautifully:
- As leather ages, it will acquire a patina. It will absorb the natural oils from constant usage, taking on a darkened or shinier appearance, as well as soften over time.
- Beware of objects that may scratch the leather or compromise the interior. Leather linings are not suitable for dry cleaning.
- Avoid contact with liquid-type makeup (lipstick, foundation, lotions, fragrance, etc. – although we encourage you to use all of the above) and any items (newspapers, magazines, other leathers, etc.) that may transfer their colored pigments onto the product.
- Keep the bag away from moisture and avoid contact with water and any other liquid. Should your bag get wet, immediately blot it gently with a lint-free, light-colored, absorbent cloth, and allow it to dry naturally.
- Store it in its protective bag when not in use. It should be stored in a cool, dry, well ventilated place in order to maintain quality and avoid tarnishing of hardware. Avoid exposure to sunlight and keep it away from direct sources of heat.
- The colors of the leather we use in our pieces are achieved by tanning. As part of this process, colors may transfer onto lighter fabrics and objects, especially when worn in hot climates.
- The exotic prints used in each bag have a unique pattern and will vary from the pictures.
